Meet the Team at Los Altos Family Smiles

Andrea RDH
Registered Dental Hygienist

Andrea has been a dedicated dental hygienist since 1997 and an integral part of our practice for more than 20 years. She began her dental career at Tallahassee Community College in Florida, later returning to school to complete her Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene through Foothill College’s AS-BS program in 2021.
Andrea has a strong interest in oral pathology, and her capstone research explored the connection between HPV and oral cancer. She takes great pride in her work and approaches each patient with care, empathy, and a desire to help them feel educated and supported in their oral health.
A Bay Area native from San Jose, Andrea enjoys exploring the region with her two children. Before 2020, she volunteered as an usher at the Mountain View Performing Arts Center—a favorite way to enjoy live theater. She also loves traveling, trying new foods (especially Indian, Mexican, Japanese, and Mediterranean cuisine), and hopes to visit Japan, New Zealand, and Scandinavia in the future. She is also known for making an exceptionally good lasagna.
Andrea’s clinical expertise, compassion, and long-standing commitment to our patients make her a deeply valued member of the Los Altos Family Smiles team, and we are truly grateful to have her with us.

Selena RDA
Registered Dental Assistant

Erika RDH
Registered Dental Hygienist

Erika has been a valued member of our hygiene team for the past two and a half years. She graduated from Foothill College in 2011 with her degree in Dental Hygiene. Although she once considered becoming a Spanish teacher, an early introduction to the dental field in college set her on the path to becoming a hygienist—and she has loved it ever since.
Erika enjoys helping patients reach their oral health goals and is known for her gentle, individualized approach to care. She connects easily with patients and strives to make every visit calm, comfortable, and encouraging.
Outside the operatory, Erika enjoys volunteering with her local dental hygiene component, spending time outdoors—whether hiking, relaxing at the beach, or exploring new scenery—and continuing to deepen her knowledge of nutrition and wellness as part of her own health journey. She also loves movies, podcasts, and spending time with friends and family.
An animal lover through and through, Erika enjoys both cats and dogs. Her kindness, professionalism, and positive spirit make her a wonderful part of the Los Altos Family Smiles team, and we are grateful for everything she brings to our office.

Ping RDH
Registered Dental Hygienist

Ping was born and raised in Taiwan and moved to the United States in 1987. She began her dental career at San Jose City College, completing the Dental Assisting program in 1988 and earning her RDA license the following year. Driven by her passion for patient care, Ping continued her education and became a Registered Dental Hygienist in 2008.
Ping is dedicated to helping patients improve their oral health and empowering them to take better care of their smiles. She is known for her gentle touch and calm, reassuring presence—qualities her patients deeply appreciate.
Outside of dentistry, Ping enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Although she works with us just one day a week, Ping has been a valued and trusted member of our team for more than five years, and we are grateful for the care and warmth she brings to Los Altos Family Smiles.

Sabina RDA
Registered Dental Assistant Treatment Coordinator

Sabina has been in the dental field for over 10 years and loves her work as a Registered Dental Assistant. She enjoys the personal connections that come with patient care and values the relationships she has built over the years. Her calm presence, friendly support, and warm smile make patients feel comfortable from the moment they arrive.
Outside of work, Sabina enjoys walking, hiking, and traveling—especially her trips back to Croatia, a place she still considers home. She feels fortunate to have two homes she loves, and although she relocated to Croatia, she returns frequently to help out in our office.
Sabina has been a part of Los Altos Family Smiles for more than seven years, and her kindness, skill, and genuine care have made her a favorite among patients and a cherished member of our team.

Leidi RDA
Registered Dental Assistant Treatment Coordinator

Leidi has been in the dental field since 2015 and brings wonderful energy, positivity, and dedication to her role as a Registered Dental Assistant. Her top priority is patient care, and she is known for creating a calm, reassuring experience for every person she meets. Whether she is assisting chairside or helping out around the office, Leidi is organized, adaptable, and always ready to lend a hand.
Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, working out, and spending quality time with her friends and family. We feel very fortunate to have Leidi as part of the Los Altos Family Smiles team, and we appreciate all the warmth and support she brings to our office.

Sam
Scheduling/Treatment Coordinator

- Sam brings more than 20 years of experience in the dental field to our practice, along with a steady, calming presence that patients and team members appreciate. He is one of the newest members of our front office team, and his thoughtful, grounded demeanor adds a refreshing balance to the flow of the office.
Originally from Southern California, Sam later moved to Northern California, joking that he “grew up twice”—once in each place.
Outside the office, he enjoys riding his motorcycle, exploring classic cars, and cruising on the weekends. When he’s not out on the road, you can often find him relaxing with friends or indulging in two of his favorites: ice cream and tequila.
We’re grateful to have Sam at Los Altos Family Smiles. His experience, calm approach, and genuine warmth make him a wonderful addition to our team.

Kristi RDA
Office Manager Registered Dental Assistant

Kristi has been in the dental field for more than 40 years. She began her career as a Registered Dental Assistant before transitioning to the front office, where she found her passion for helping patients navigate their visits with ease. Today, she is our Office Manager, bringing a rare blend of clinical understanding and administrative expertise.
Kristi is a true whiz when it comes to insurance, scheduling, and patient coordination. Having worked in multiple roles throughout the dental office, she is a tremendous source of knowledge and a go-to problem solver for both patients and our team. Her experience, efficiency, and steady leadership help keep our practice running smoothly.
Outside the office, Kristi enjoys spending time with her family, wine tasting, relaxing in Maui, and simply soaking in a beautiful day with friends and loved ones.
Kristi has been part of our office for nearly 15 years, and her dedication, warmth, and expertise make her an invaluable member of the Los Altos Family Smiles team.
